


Gynecomastia - Chest Reduction
Cosmetic Surgery for Men Breast Reduction
The male breast reduction procedure is desiged to removes fat and/or glandular tissue from the breasts, and, rarely, excess skin. The result is a flatter, firmer chest consistent with masculine body contour.
Chest reduction with Liposuction: Pseudogynecomastia
Men Liposuction or lipo sculpture of the of the pseudogynecomastia is used to remove the fatty tissue by suction using a negative pressure source (pump or syringe). The very thin canulas will be used in wet technique or ultrasound technique for the best result.
Chest Reduction Surgery: Gynecomastia Surgery
Excision of the male breast tissue. This real gynecomastia tissue cannot be suctioned and has to be removed by surgical excision - male breast reduction. Usually performed through the lower part of the aerola (between the pigmented part and the skin).
Combined Gynecomastia Surgery:
The treatment is a combination of surgical excision (gynecomastia surgery) and liposuction for better chest/breast contour.
OPERATION
The operation is conducted under local anesthesia, sedation or general anesthesia depending on the volume and chosen method.
Gynecomastia often is combined with other procedures such as; stomach and lovehandles liposuction and nose reshaping (rhinoplasty). The quantity that can safely be removed with liposuction operation is 5% of total body weight. It can be up to 7% at the maximum.
POST OPERATION
You will feel some discomfort after the surgery which will easily be controlled by pain killers. You will have dressing on incisions and your chest may be wrapped with an elastic bandage to hold the skin firmly in place. Occasionally (in cases where large amounts of tissue have been removed), a small drain may be attached to releive excess fluid. This drain will be removed within couple of days.
You can experience bruising and swelling at the site of the operation for the first few weeks but it may be 3 months or longer before your final result.
You can return work immediately after returning back to the UK.
Most of the cases, patients can go sight seeing from the third day. You can enjoy city tours in Istanbul and enjoy a boat tour on the Bosphorus.
You will be followed by your patient co-ordinator when you back home to make sure you have no problem. Our records show that it is highly unlikely that you will have a problem, but our surgeons and patient co-ordinators are committed to solve any problem or your concerns.
