Labiaplasty - Vaginoplasty and other Genital rejuvenations

Labiaplasty is a cosmetic procedure that alters the size and shape of the labia in the vaginal area. The labia are the lips of vulva, which is a woman’s external genital. Labia reduction is popular with young mothers as child birth can adversely affect the appearance of the labia. Having a labia reduction has no effect on the size or tightness of the actual vagina. However, a Vaginoplasty procedure can address this issue.

Vaginoplasty is a cosmetic procedure that tightens the vaginal muscles and surrounding tissues. The surgery is popular amongst women who who feel that their vagina has become looser following childbirth, or through the aging process. This lack of tightness in the vagina can result in reduced sensation during sexual intercourse.

OPERATION

The labiaplasty and vaginoplasty procedures are carried out under local or general anaesthetic.  

During Labiaplasty, the surgeon will cut away the unwanted labia tissue to create a more desired shape.

For vaginoplasty, the surgeon shortens and joins the overly stretched muscle of the vagina, before removing any excess skin. The procedure will be carried at either the front or back of the vagina, or both should the patient desire. The work takes place inside the vagina so no scarring is visible.

POST OPERATION

The genital area will be swollen after the surgery, the pain can be controlled by pain killers. Sexual intercourse should be avoided for at least six weeks.

You will be followed by your patient co-ordinator when you back home to make sure you have no problem. Our records show that it is highly unlikely that you will have a problem, but our surgeons and patient co-ordinators are committed to solve any problem or your concerns.
