For both Men and Women, there are fat deposits which are resistant to diet and exercise.  Liposuction is a fat removal cosmetic surgery for those areas on body or face. 

Liposuction should be considered as a sculpting procedure that can change and smooth the contours of your body or face; it is not performed as weight loss. ,

SUPERFICIAL LIPOSUCTION ( WET TECHNIQUE ) & ULTRASOUND  LIPOSUCTION

The surgeon prefer 2 best techniques available at the moment. 

Wet Liposuction: A special fluid prepared with substances preventing pain and bleeding during and after the operation and injected to the respective area.The super thin tubes (cannulas) of 2 to 4mm are introduced through small incisions. Due to this technique the scars will be almost invisible.

The canula is used to vacuum the fat layer that lies deep beneath the skin by being pushed then pulled through the fat layer; breaking up the fat cells and suctioning them out by a vacuum pump.

Ultrasound Liposuction: As part of the preparation of the area, the surgeon uses ultrasound to break up the fat cells to be removed.

The possibility for irregularities is less in both methods; complaints of a previous liposuction can even be also corrected.  Bruises and pain are also less.

OPERATION

The operation is conducted under local anesthesia, sedation or general anesthesia depending on the the area and volume. 

The quantity that can safely be removed with  liposuction operation is 5% of total body weight. It can be up to 7% at the maximum.

POST OPERATION

TYou will come round from the operation with a specially designed corset or bandages on certain areas.  You will have to wear this garment for the next few weeks.  You will be on your feet again 24 to 48 hours after the surgery.

You can experience bruising, tightness, itching and sensation of pulling at the site of the operation, which are quite normal.

At the end of the third week; Bruises disappear; however the operation sites will still be hard. From the second week massage, walking or LPG (subject to surgeons' confirmation)  leads to a faster dissolving of the edema since it provides lymph drainage.

Most of the cases, patients can go sight seeing from the third day. You can enjoy city tours in Istanbul and enjoy night life on the Bosphorus.

You will be followed by your patient co-ordinator when you back home to make sure you have no problem. Our records show that it is highly unlikely that you will have a problem, but our surgeons and patient co-ordinators are committed to solve any problem or your concerns.
