Brow and Forehead Lift Surgery

If you have ever been old that "you look tired" or "angry when you are not tired or angry; you probably need a Brow Lift. The reason is that when your brow droops , it dramatically alters your appearance.

 This is an operation thatb will lift your forehead and upper eyelids, reduce creases and frown lines and weaken some of the muscles you use to frown, restricting your ability to create more unsightly lines.

OPERATION

This can be done both in classic way or via endoscopic approach.

Coronal brow lift is classic method with the incision in the form of an Alice band across the top of the head, usually behind the hairline.

Endoscopic brow lift is newer technique causes less trauma to the patient. There will be 2-4 small incisions, 1cm long in the hairy areas of the scalp.  Using a periosteal elevator, muscles and underlting tissues that are responsible for pulling the brow down are lifted and weakened. This can be considered "permanent lift" as the lifted skin will attach itself to the bone in this elevated position. 

POST OPERATION

You will wear light bandages  around the head and a drain attached to your head when you wake up from the operation, for 2 days.  You will probably feel swollen and expect tightenning sensation around the stitches or clips until they are removed within first week.

Most patients will be able to return work after around 2 weeks.

You will be followed by your patient co-ordinator when you back home to make sure you have no problem. Our records show that it is highly unlikely that you will have a problem, but our surgeons and patient co-ordinators are committed to solve any problem or your concerns.
