Rhinoplasty is used to improve nasal aesthetic or medical function. Nose reshaping is a quick and painless operation which is very common and popular.

Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgery that is suitable for virtually anyone who is unhappy with their nose.  The results have a dramatic effect on appearance in exchange for minimal discomfort.

THERE IS NO STANDARD RHINOPLASTY OPERATION

Nose surgery is customized to the needs of each patient. Realistic expectation, a healthy individual and psychological balance are important criterias for a rhinoplasty candidate.

Nose reshaping surgery can remove bumps or shorten, reduce, straighten, narrow, widen or enlarge the nose within each patient’s limits.

This operation can be performed from the age of 16 for girls and 17 for young men.

Thick skin can make a rhinoplasty procedure more difficult, since it tends to disguise the altered cartilage because it does not drape over the shape very well. In this case the surgeon applies diffrent techniques for better result.

REVISION OF PREVIOUS NOSE SURGERY

The type of previous operations (like deviation, aesthetic intervention, nose tip surgery, bone fracture) affects the shape and size of the next surgery. The presence of cartilages inside the nose and the ear facilitates restoration. Our surgeons are very experienced both for primary and secondry nose surgeries.

OPERATION

The operation is performed under general anaesthesia. The duration of the operation varies between two to three hours depending on the patient’s problems. After the operation, there will be tampons inside the nose and a cast over the nose.

POST OPERATION

There is a little discomfort after a nose job. Tampons are removed the next day or two.  The cast and the stitches will be removed before you return back to the UK.  Then a small bandage will be applied.

Most of the cases, patients can go sight seeing from the third day. You can enjoy city tours in Istanbul and enjoy night life on the Bosphorus.

You will be followed by your patient co-ordinator when you back home to make sure you have no problem. Our records show that it is highly unlikely that you will have a problem, but our surgeons and patient co-ordinators are committed to solve any problem or your concerns.
