BEST TREATMENT - BEST PRICE for SummerÂ’11
Otoplasty is a quick and relatively straightforward procedure executed for purely aesthetic reasons. It is not an operation that affects the function of the ear at all.
Ear surgery is generally conducted from the age of five, before the school starts, when children become aware of their self-image. The demand in adults for otoplasty also increase every year.
In general, the results have a dramatic effect on appearance and psychology of the patient for minimal pain or discomfort.
OPERATION
The surgeon will make an incision just behind the ear meets the head, and will then access the underlying cartilage.
To achieve the desired affect, the surgeon can either remove or trim the cartilage if they perceive that the patient has too much, or shape and stitch back some of the cartilage to pin the ears back along more natural contours permanently.
Finally the initial incision is stitches up and the bandages placed on the ears.
POST OPERATION
Your ear will be tender and swollen for around a week. You can start work or school after 10 days to 2 weeks. The ears will be still delicate for a few months, so contact sports must be avoided during this period.
There is no visible scarring in most of the cases. The result can be seen soon after the bandages are taken off , but final result may take 3-6 months after the surgery.
You will be followed by your patient co-ordinator when you back home to make sure you have no problem. Our records show that it is highly unlikely that you will have a problem, but our surgeons and hospitals are committed to solve any problem or your concerns.
